Supporting Internet Censorship

Who supports Internet censorship?

Support for Internet censorship in the United States is a function of several socioeconomic and demographic characteristics. Older Internet users, married and with children, who see pornography or privacy as predominant issues, tend to favor Internet censorship. More experienced urban male Internet users, working in information related industries, who view government regulation or censorship as important issues, tend to be against Internet censorship. Debate over Internet content is centered on whether the Internet offers a net public bad or good.
